Job Description for Internship of

Office Assistant

European Union Chamber of Commerce in China – Chengdu

General information of European Union Chamber of Commerce in China:

The European Union Chamber of Commerce in China was officially established in Beijing in 2000 under the initiative of the European Union Delegation and with financial support of 51 European companies. The European Chamber is a non-profit organization supported by members, Advisory Council and Local Privilege Members; it has at present offices in Beijing, Chengdu, Chongqing, Guangzhou and Shenzhen, Nanjing, Shanghai, Shenyang and Tianjin, with over 1400 company members such as: ABB, Allianz, Bayer, Groupama, Jones Lang LaSalle, KLM, KPMG, Lafarge, Maersk, Siemens, etc. www.europeanchamber.com.cn

General responsibilities of the Position:

1.)    Assistance on office administration

2.)    Updating the chamber database and contact records

3.)    Assistance on event organisation

4.)    Others tasks assigned

Detailed tasks of the Position:

Responsability

Tasks

Office Administration

è          To maintain the office in order and nice to receive guests

è          To maintain telephone, printer, fax, water, plants, etc.

è          To any other possible tasks assigned

Updating the database

è          To put new name cards and contact information in chamber database

è          To update old contact information in chamber database

è          To better organize the database as indicated

è          To attend meetings with the chamber staff and take notes, and put the meeting summaries into the database

Assistance on event organisation

è          To help on event organization and preparation

è          To help to attract participants for events

è          To help to follow up after events

è          To do interpretation on events

Other tasks

è          Any other tasks assigned
