講解（三）：聯(lián)絡(luò)口譯場(chǎng)合中譯員常在眾目睽睽之下，承擔(dān)著溝通各方的任務(wù)，且常是在戶外進(jìn)行，譯員身處的環(huán)境也是五花八門(mén)，工作條件常常受限。如譯員遇到困難就停止口譯，會(huì)造成不好的影響，不僅這次翻譯任務(wù)失敗，整個(gè)交際活動(dòng)也因譯員而宣告失敗。因此不能在中途放棄。

B: 這么說(shuō)吧，當(dāng)中國(guó)朋友帶我們參觀城市時(shí)，我們會(huì)看到現(xiàn)代大樓、機(jī)場(chǎng)、新的橋梁、會(huì)議中心，以及城市里最新的東西。但外國(guó)人對(duì)城市的老式東西更感興趣，比如說(shuō)后街的小巷、老建筑、老房子等。簡(jiǎn)而言之，也就是那些區(qū)別這所城市和其他城市的特點(diǎn)。對(duì)于一個(gè)經(jīng)常在世界各地旅游的外國(guó)人來(lái)說(shuō)，他們認(rèn)為機(jī)場(chǎng)只是個(gè)機(jī)場(chǎng)，橋梁也只是個(gè)橋梁，但是西安一座寺廟和法國(guó)的教堂可不一樣，中國(guó)的一座老房子和英國(guó)的老房子也不一樣。

As the second angle you mentioned, the modernization against preservation, these two issues are contradictory with each other. A city’s space is limited. The development of a city requires the transformation of old city. High-rise buildings are indications of the development of city, is there anything wrong with that?
B: 您說(shuō)的發(fā)展與繁榮的確對(duì)我、對(duì)你都很重要。問(wèn)題是當(dāng)國(guó)家越來(lái)越繁榮，人們的生活水平越來(lái)越好時(shí)，他們需要讓其他人見(jiàn)證這一點(diǎn)。不過(guò)漸漸地，你會(huì)變的盲目，意識(shí)不到需要保護(hù)過(guò)去的舊東西。這些舊東西不僅僅包含寺廟，宮殿，還有人們住的各式各樣的房子，市中心的體驗(yàn)。一旦你毀壞了這些遺產(chǎn)，就找不回來(lái)了。
