講解（三）：聯(lián)絡(luò)口譯場合中譯員常在眾目睽睽之下，承擔著溝通各方的任務(wù)，且常是在戶外進行，譯員身處的環(huán)境也是五花八門，工作條件常常受限。如譯員遇到困難就停止口譯，會造成不好的影響，不僅這次翻譯任務(wù)失敗，整個交際活動也因譯員而宣告失敗。因此不能在中途放棄。

B: 這么說吧，當中國朋友帶我們參觀城市時，我們會看到現(xiàn)代大樓、機場、新的橋梁、會議中心，以及城市里最新的東西。但外國人對城市的老式東西更感興趣，比如說后街的小巷、老建筑、老房子等。簡而言之，也就是那些區(qū)別這所城市和其他城市的特點。對于一個經(jīng)常在世界各地旅游的外國人來說，他們認為機場只是個機場，橋梁也只是個橋梁，但是西安一座寺廟和法國的教堂可不一樣，中國的一座老房子和英國的老房子也不一樣。
A：That is to say the foreigners would like to see something special in China. As the second angle you mentioned, the modernization against preservation, these two issues are contradictory with each other. A city’s space is limited. The development of a city requires the transformation of old city. High-rise buildings are indications of the development of city, is there anything wrong with that?
B: 您說的發(fā)展與繁榮的確對我、對你都很重要。問題是當國家越來越繁榮，人們的生活水平越來越好時，他們需要讓其他人見證這一點。不過漸漸地，你會變的盲目，意識不到需要保護過去的舊東西。這些舊東西不僅僅包含寺廟，宮殿，還有人們住的各式各樣的房子，市中心的體驗。一旦你毀壞了這些遺產(chǎn)，就找不回來了。
